On the first truly warm day here in Akiu after the long cold winter - I was very fortunate to be invited along to a glass blowing and creation class thanks to Thilo from Communa.
The experience was fantastic. It's a serious craft, our sensei at Glass Studio GEN was incredibly patient and really emphasised the serious points of dealing with extreme temperatures as high as 1500-1700ºC! Yet all the while, you are really in control of your own project - a unique experience given the serious nature of the craft.
